Serving the Lord

Living Word offers opportunities to serve during Sunday worship services and on ad hoc basis for events or grounds maintenance.  If you are interested in volunteering and want to learn more, contact info@mylivingword.com.  Training provided for all volunteer opportunities.

Hand out bulletins, collect offerings and direct members for Lord’s Supper during worship.

Arrive to church early to prepare the Lord’s Supper for placement on the altar.  Fill wine cups and the challis and wafer platen.  After worship, clean and store dishware and linens.

On specified Sundays (about once a month):  Bring a snack or stock item, helps with making coffee and juice, setting out beverage service, and light kitchen cleanup after fellowship time on the Sunday specified.

Light and extinguish candles on the altar and other special candles before, during and after worship services.

Sits at the computer at the back of church during worship services and forwards the slides for the liturgy and songs.

Read pre-assigned scripture during worship service.

Cares for little ones during worship and/or during Adult Bible Study time for little ones too young for Sunday School.

Assists with building repairs/maintenance and landscaping.

Helps with event set-up, clean-up, promotion and more for the Fall Craft Fair, Ladies Day In and other special events and projects throughout the year.
